Potchefstroom High School for Boys (PHSB) will be participating in the Eskom Expo For Young Scientists this year.

This is a science fair where international students and students from 35 regions of South Africa will get an opportunity to display their own original research work. This year the expo will be celebrating their 40th year running in South Africa.

This competition is open for students from grade 7-12 that will compete in 50 categories including Computer Science, Mathematics, Plant Science, Human Psychology etc. The aim is to stimulate research and teach students the basics on how to go about in doing research. This will then make up the necessary support in stimulating future scientists and also give them a well organised introduction to research.

PHSB is encouraging all its students from grades 8-12 to enter this competition in its various categories. Students will start with their project during the first term and the project will run through for the rest of the year.
